Saunders passionate about Golden Gate's private utility being taken over by county to lower costs and provide better service
Until recently, though, Saunders was the lawyer for the private utility just a bit north of Golden Gate in Orange Blossom to prevent it from being taken over by the county.
Both promising to ask voters to reinstate Conservation Collier very quickly and for 10 years

Be sure to shoot us over any questions, comments or dirty words
Greg - How do you think the District 3 forum went?
Really thought both candidates put their best foot forward. Saunders hammered on his experience, Karim made some strong points about business incentives

Hasn't been much support from the dais or county budget office on lowering taxes. Saunders said he would, Karim said she'd keep them flat
As Saunders said, not a lot of daylight between the two with how they would deal with fracking and Conservation Collier
I don't mean to pick on Bill McDaniel here, but this might be the twenty-fifth time he's begun one of these forums with this "less is more" opening
Starting with affordable housing
Paquette would try to bring back sliding scale impact fees, can't have a minimum of 20-plus grand to build a home
McDaniel: Need to look at the kind of housing we want to encourage. We have homes under $200k for sale here, so what's the definition we're actually looking for, the market place?
Both say they would support Immokalee studying incorporation
McDaniel wants to focus on widening roads and building new infrastructure to Immokalee, especially State Road 29 and 82
